studio heathfield were appointed by the guildford childrens centre to design, procure and deliver  a newbuilding that would provide additional nursery and creche facilities . the newbuilding, which is characterised by flexible internal spaces that allow for either the creation of a single large open plan area or several smaller spaces was granted planning permission In 2010 and was opened by the mayor of guildford in 2011 following a

construction programme of only 14 weeks
